Right-wing provocateur and roaster Ann coulter proved on Friday that, if one tries hard enough, they too can have one of the most garbage tweets of all time. Overnight on Friday, Coulter tweeted to her 1 million followers: “Beyoncé, cited by Michelle Obama as a role model for her daughters, sings about ‘pu*sy curvalicious, served delicious.’ Oh my. I just fainted.” There are several big problems with this tweet. First among them: Beyoncé didn’t sing those lyrics. In fact, no one did: the lyric, which Nicki Minaj spit, not Beyoncé, goes: “Curvalicious, pu*sy served delicious.”
Understandably, the Internet exploded with the story, with her supporters trying to justify “an honest mistake,” and those who dislike her continuing to mock her rubbish tweet. Finally, on Monday, Coulter herself commented on her post in an interview with ABC News. “I was expected to make some sort of mistake, especially given the fact that I don’t listen to such vulgar music in private, nor anywhere else, for that matter,” Coulter said. “What I do mind, though, is the fact that people focused more on what I said about the lyrics than the real point of the tweet, which was Michelle Obama.”
The conservative author added that the fact that the First Lady is promoting and supporting such “foul language,” and especially the “objectification of women that arises from it” is “simply inexcusable.” “I’m glad she’s going away after this November, that’s for sure,” she said. “Donald Trump isn’t perfect, but at least he doesn’t promote bad language.” After the understatement of the century, followed by the reporter reminding Coulter that Donald Trump has condoned sexual assault in the past with his infamous “grab them by the pu*sy remarks,” she went on yet another rant.
“That’s different, that’s worlds apart,” the author opined, after which she was asked to elaborate. “Donald Trump is a man who’s had an amazing life, tons of success in his career and a certain skill with women that few other men have had in their lifetimes. I don’t know of a woman who would back down when a crush would do to them what Donald Trump has talked about in that video, which by the way, he had no idea he was in for, what 11 years? Come on, it could happen to anybody.”
“I mean, at the very least, the NSA has been keeping tabs on all of us since 9/11, so we’re all in some controversial video or another,” she added. “And at the end of the day, Michelle Obama is acting the way she is for two very simple reasons: one, she knows her time at the White House is up, and two, she’s just upset that no white men ever tried to grope her. Because, and this is coming from a woman – as much as it’s intrusive or, some would argue, abusive, groping is very flattering on some weird, subconscious level. It a form of a compliment and Michelle Obama hasn’t gotten one in a while. Groping compliments, I mean. So she has no choice but to dance to Beyoncé and sing about sex out of sheer frustration because she knows she’s not as desirable as other women,” Coulter concluded.
