Massachusetts – Wife of former US President Bill Clinton and the former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has recently enrolled for a course in elementary economics at the University of Yale, where she graduated in 1973. The decision is said to have been brought upon by reactions of the public to “Clinton’s recent statement “don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs” at a Democratic rally in Massachusetts.
“During her attempt to attack what she referred to as “trickle-down economics” at the rally, a surprisingly odd statement came out of Clinton’s mouth that, at first, caused the crowd to react by toning down. After the dust settled, reactions to the former Secretary of State’s words exploded like Hiroshima in 1945.
” “Don’t let anybody tell you that raising the minimum wage will kill jobs, they always say that”, she continued. Mrs. Clinton’s former University, Yale, sent her an informal invitation to go back to class and stop embarrassing the good name of the world-famous educational institution.
They even agreed to pay for half of the expenses of the course at the University’s Department of Economics, which issued a statement saying “we’re glad to have one of our graduates come back to us, as a bird comes back after leaving the nest. Of course, the fact that the bird came out as an embarrassment to the nest is of lesser importance, but we’re glad to have her back once again nevertheless”.
This incident is perceived by many as the last straw in what everybody presumes will be Clinton’s preparation for the presidential election in 2016. As for the former Secretary of State herself, she was unavailable to comment on the issue, but she will undoubtedly come out on top. She always does.
