The creationists behind a tax payer-subsidized “replica” of Noah’s Ark in Kentucky are lashing out at the media for reporting on the park’s tax evasion. “MEDIA AND BLOGGERS OUT OF CONTROL RE: ARK,” wrote prominent creationist Ken Ham tax, in all capital letters.

Ham was responding to news that the Ark Encounter theme park lost $18 million in tax breaks after a deed transfer in which the for-profit LLC Answers in Genesis “sold” the park to a non-profit in an attempt to avoid paying local public safety Ken Ham tax to Williamstown, Kentucky.

Ken Ham tax quoted CCO Mark Looy, who said, “We are saddened that the City Council did not extend the courtesy of discussing this ordinance with us before passing it and taking it public, and was not willing to negotiate further.”

“These things are really becoming pointless,” Ham told Frankfort-based KYPF Radio. “I don’t think people are aware of how much hard work it took to get the Ark Project up and running, and to even get it off the ground back when it was just an idea on a piece of paper.

I’m ashamed to admit it, but America is today a country in which God has been downgraded to something to be joked about in sitcoms and television shows, and minority religions like Islam and Judaism and the like are being put on pedestals.

Ark Projects to Restore the Faith of People in our God

They celebrated in the name of diversity and other dangerous words that are threatening to put this country on its knees. Meanwhile, meaningful projects like the Ark – projects that intend to restore the faith of people in our God – are being ridiculed and viewed only as money-making machines.”

He continued, “This is not only a sin, but also a huge insult to everything good that God’s ever done for this country. And about this whole tax thing – I know legislators are huge fans of quoting man-made laws that many of us so blindly abide by without thinking about the consequences of our actions.

ARK Encounter Lawsuit

Let me tell you one thing and let me point out a very simple, yet effective logic here: if God is our creator – I know I’ll be attacked any second now, but bear with me – if God is indeed our creator, then he has created the universe and the Earth and everything on it, including all of us.

And if he has done that, doesn’t that make him the sole owner of everything in existence, including us? So if you want to talk about paying tax on something that’s, for all intents and purposes, God’s property, you’re really itching for a religious, creationist debate with the big man.”

Why Would you Pay Taxes on Something you Yourself Own?

“Here’s my point: how, or rather, Nobody in their right mind would do that. Like I said, God already owns all of Earth and every living and dead creature and thing on it, so there’s really no point in him paying taxes to himself, now, does it?

All this talk about earthly laws and man-made rules makes me laugh, if we’re being honest. Sure, rip me off for another $18 million, I don’t care. Because, I know I’ll be rewarded in heaven, when I stand before God and he asks me what my sins were, and I’ll say, ‘God, I’m sorry I let them speak poorly of your good name.’

And he’ll forgive me and let me and my beautiful Ark through the gates of Heaven, and then he’ll look back at all of you and go, ‘Nope.’ And I’ll be laughing, oh, believe me, I’ll be laughing,” Ham concluded his rant.
