Mike Pence To Receive A ‘Working For Women Award’: It Proves That Modern Women Prefer Men Will Take Decisions For Their Bodies”

Vice President Mike Pence is dangerous to women’s rights. On March 22, however, he will be given the first-ever Working for Women Award at the Independent Women’s Forum’s (IWF) Women Making History Reception in Washington. The news came in a press release. “The award recognizes an individual who values free markets, works to create a more dynamic and innovative work world, and celebrates the valuable contributions women make to society,” it says. Clearly, the IWF bats for the GOP, but the irony in choosing Pence, specifically, to receive this award is still massive and wildly troubling. Pence is a man whose effort to “create a more dynamic and innovative work world” involved signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which allows businesses to discriminate against LGBTQ+ employees and patrons.

In an interview with Internet portal KnowMyRepublican.com, the Vice President commented on the fact that he of all people was chosen to receive the award. “As someone who has repeatedly been mocked and called out for my political thought, I can tell you that being chosen for something like this is certainly a great honor and a privilege,” Pence said. “Furthermore, I am not only honored as a politician and a person, but also as someone who allows himself the liberty of seeing this act as a kind of proof. My ‘Working for Women’ award proves that women finally understand that being pro-choice, especially in today’s world, is against God’s will. This fact alone makes me very happy; I feel particularly satisfied that my years-long hard work on the subject has finally paid off.”

He continued, “But, I have to say, for me it doesn’t end here. On a related note, my ‘Working for Women’ award also proves that women of today prefer to be led by strong, moral-abiding men that can make decisions for them. Ask any politician, any real politician, and they’ll probably tell you that my previous statement is as bigoted and politically incorrect as they come. Sure enough, they’ll probably throw in a swear word or two, as well. But, at the end of the day, once they’ve calmed down, they’ll think about it and they’ll realize that I’m right for wanting this to happen. For reasons I have stated on numerous previous occasions, this is a good thing for this country and a good thing for all of us here.”

“My only regret is we – they [women] – didn’t come around sooner, because we could have done a whole lot of good had we had this sort of mindset from the start,” the Vice President added. “So, when you choose someone like me to bestow such a great honor upon, you can imagine what that says about all of my efforts to make this country a better place regardless of the fact that many will say my methods were questionable at best. They can say what they want, because there is a time for diplomacy and a time for action. And as you can see from everything that’s going on around us – the time for diplomacy in America is long gone,” he concluded.
