Palin: “Justin Bieber Is My Hero Because He Understands That Rape Happens For A Reason”

Former half-term Alaska governor and current Donald Trump booster, Sarah Palin, praised the billionaire businessman for coming around to her anti-choice views on abortion. Trump, who had once been pro-choice, recently had a change of heart prior to the presidential caucus in evangelical-heavy Iowa. “I am so glad that Mr. Trump has seen the light and understands the sanctity of innocent life and how a baby in the womb should be most protected,” Palin said. “What has been kind of sad about this situation though, are groups that are pro-life and they say they want to bring more people into the fold. They’re giving Trump a hard time for his past views on abortion where they’re celebrating others, like, uh, I was going through a list. Yes, like Justin Bieber.”

Palin then went on to praise Bieber as well, for his “intelligence and empathy,” as well as because “it turns out he is such a normal young man, despite his girlish voice, feminine appearance and French side.” “You know, I’m sure many people around the world don’t think very highly of Justin, partly because of his music, and partly because of the way he behaves sometimes. I mean, we’ve all been young, so I say no one should judge unless they’re 100% free of sin. As for the rumors that he’s gay, I’d rather not comment on that.”

However, Palin wasn’t shy when it came to talking about the pop-star’s position on abortion: “I will say this – I was very impressed by the fact that he has such mature and grown-up views on the many problems of today, such as abortion. That’s actually what got me thinking: if we had more young people such as him, we’d be better off as a country, despite the fact that he’s Canadian. But, what really blew me away when it comes to him is his general position about life and pregnancy, and how everything happens for a reason.” In 2011, Bieber told Rolling Stone, “I really don’t believe in abortion. It’s like killing a baby,” adding that, even in cases of a rape that produces a pregnancy, “everything happens for a reason.”

“To be quite honest,” Palin continued, “I have to say that, as a woman, I never thought of it that way. Sure, it sounds ludicrous at first, but when you think about it, the position that even something as gruesome and terrible as rape happens for a reason can really help women understand that the pregnancy caused by this terrible act is no one’s fault, least of all their future baby’s. I applaud Justin for such an adult view on the matter, he is my hero. And I might consider offering him U.S. citizenship. That is, if he agrees to burn the Canadian flag in public after singing the Star-Spangled Banner.”
