Mark Crutcher, the Texas anti-abortion activist who inspired David Daleiden’s “baby parts” smear campaign against Planned Parenthood, discussed on his “Life Talk TV” program on Monday the issue of dangerous illegal abortions that can be the result of laws banning abortion or restricting access. “If abortion were outlawed today and next week a bunch of women died from coat hanger abortions, those coat hangers would have been in the hand of pro-choice people, not pro-life people,” he said.
“A life is a life, no matter how it came to be,” Crutcher said. “And I don’t care what anybody says – you can’t justify the murder of an innocent being by claiming it’s in the parents’ right to do so. Nobody gets to have a choice over something as important as that. That would be the same as having one juror who decides whether the accused gets to live or die. We’re supposed to be evolved, the most intelligent species on the planet. And yet we kill our young ones as if they were vermin. That doesn’t sit well with God.”
He added, “And then, of course, we always have those who attempt to use rape as a valid argument in this debate. Well, I’ve got news for you – if women don’t get raped, they don’t have a problem with pregnancy. It’s as simple as that. Sure, it sounds a bit cruel but it’s the truth. If you get raped, it’s your own fault and contrary to popular belief, that doesn’t mean you get to kill your child. Because it’s done nothing wrong, it’s not its fault its father’s a rapist. And that’s the end of it.”
“That’s why I keep saying that even though it’s nice to see an attractive looking girl or woman walking down the street, showing off her assets, that’s the kind of thing that gets them raped,” he argued. “And that’s also why I believe that men should observe all women as if they were their daughters or mothers – fully covered up. And that’s the thing I like about sharia law – it’s simple, yet effective. Have you heard about any rape incidents in Arab countries recently? No, of course not. That’s because their women walk around dressed like monks. And I’m not saying we need to introduce that here, but something’s gotta give.”
“Remember ladies – if you get knocked up, you did it to yourself. No self-respecting serial rapist is going to go after a granny-style 60’s wardrobe. No, he’s going to go after the girl who flaunts her goods. Therefore, no flaunting – no rape. No rape – no baby. No baby – no need for an abortion. Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Crutcher concluded.
