During a weekend interview, CNN challenged pro-life Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio on his statement during last week’s Republican debate about posing abortion in cases of rape or incest. The Florida senator didn’t back down from his pro-life position. Host George Stephanopoulos said, “You also got called out by Jeb Bush and Chris Christie on the issue of abortion because you don’t support exceptions for rape and incest.” Rubio replied, “Well, first of all, I do require an exception for the life of the mother because I’m pro-life. Number two, I – as I’ve said, if they pass a law in Congress that has exceptions, I’ll sign it because I want to save lives. The broader point I’ve made, however, is I believe all human life is worthy of the protection of our laws.”
Stephanopoulos then interjected, “Wait a minute, does that mean that you’re going to say that you’re pro-life no matter what the circumstances surrounding a woman getting pregnant are? Like, if we were to have an alien invasion right now, and if Martians came and raped our women, countless women across the planet, you’re trying to tell me that you’d still be calling for the same thing?” Rubio didn’t flinch for a second: “Absolutely. I don’t care if we start bringing out little green hybrids with ginormous heads and have them wreak havoc throughout our cities, I’m still going to say that that’s the right thing to do. I mean, that would undoubtedly be a new form of life, but it would be life nonetheless! And besides – we could always deport them back to Mars or wherever their fathers came from and solve the problem that way.”
“Look,” Rubio continued, “What I’m trying to say here is that God created all of us in His image for a reason, and despite the selfishness that is raging through the majority of our population, I believe He put us humans on this Earth to protect and preserve life, not to kill it before it’s even had a chance to start. We are committing murder and we are going to go to Hell for it. And let me just add, I do not believe – let me say that again: I DO NOT believe in abortion, because that’s equal to murder in my book. If God were to intentionally infect a baby in the womb with the Zika virus, for example – I would still forbid the mother to have an abortion and use it to avoid God’s judgment. That’s how adamant I am when it comes to people’s right to freedom and existence.”
He added: “What pains me about America is that people can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that abortion is not something that was created to simply allow them to ‘fix a problem’ that just happened so they could go back to their normal lives. That’s not how things work, despite them wanting it to be that way. Abortion was created and it exists, there’s no getting around that. But what we need to understand is that it’s equal to picking up a gun and shooting a person right between the eyes in cold blood. That’s how cruel it is. It doesn’t matter that the fetus doesn’t have a face when it’s being clawed out of its mother’s uterus. What matters is that it’s still a living being, and not even the Zika virus or God can change that.”

You imbecile! God does not punish babies simply because they got pure, innocent souls. I hope he punishes YOU for saying such a bullshit!
This guy is a slick two sided talker. I do not trust this young and very unaccomplished man. He has nothing to show for himself except a huge ego, desperate to say anything to be president.
What an unmitigated asshole! He can believe in whatever God he wants to believe in. But he doesn’t have the right to foist his personal religious views on the entire country. Just because he thinks he’ll go to hell if a woman is allowed to make her own health and reproductive decisions doesn’t mean all us buy into that crap. Just stop, republicans! You do not speak for God.
