WASHINGTON — Republican Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina today continued their attacks against U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice by calling for an investigation into the Secretary of State candidate’s Netflix queue.
“This new information regarding Ambassador Rice raises serious questions about her ability to serve the best interests of our nation,” said McCain after perusing Rice’s queue. “Do you realize there isn’t a single John Wayne film on her list? Where’s her patriotism?”
Graham questioned Rice’s loyalty, pointing to a number of disturbing selections in her queue.
“She wants to watch ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’ That’s a very un-Christian film,” stated Graham. “She’s also queued ‘Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World,’ which is suspicious both because of the word ‘Muslim’ in the title and the fact that it is an Albert Brooks film. Albert Brooks hasn’t been funny in decades.”
The senators called for an Independent Senate Committee made up of prominent Republicans to go through Ambassador Rice’s queue, film by film if necessary, to get to the truth.
“We need to know if any of the films she’s expressed interest in viewing contributed to her shameful and disgraceful lies about the attacks in Benghazi,” insisted McCain. “For example, of all the M. Night Shyamalan films she could have chosen, she selected ‘The Last Airbender.’ Why would anyone in their right mind voluntarily watch ‘The Last Airbender?’ This demonstrates a real failure in judgment.”
The shocking Netflix queue was unearthed posthumously by Andrew Breitbart and published on The Drudge Report under the headline “Benghazi Coverup Criminal Mastermind Craves Twilight,” a reference to the fact that Rice’s queue includes every film in the popular young-adult vampire saga currently available on DVD.
Democrats were quick to defend Rice, noting the strong likelihood that the “Twilight” films, in particular, may have been added to the queue by Rice’s 12 year-old daughter.
No explanation was given for ‘The Last Airbender.’
