Ted Cruz News: “Helping Texans Is Not Like Helping New Orleans, Hurricane Sandy Was Righteous”

“After witnessing the serious destruction that major flooding just caused in his home state of Texas, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz made an iron-clad promise to his constituents: “Today, Texans are hurting. They’re hurting here in San Marcos. They’re hurting in Wimberley. They’re hurting in Houston.

They’re hurting all across the state. Democrats and Republicans in the congressional delegation will stand as one in support of the federal government meeting its statutory obligations to provide the relief to help the Texans who are hurting.”

Ted Cruz News About Religion Refugees

“It would be an eminently reasonable assurance to make, if only Ted Cruz were a reasonable man. However, some people think he’s not. When Hurricane Sandy wreaked even greater damage across the Northeast in 2012, Cruz told his suffering fellow citizens to get bent:

““This bill is symptomatic of a larger problem in Washington – an addiction to spending money we do not have. The United States Senate should not be in the business of exploiting victims of natural disasters to fund pork projects that further expand our debt.”

“Ted Cruz news; He voted against Sandy aid, but now that it’s his own backyard that’s under water – and not some wretched blue states half a country away – he’s all for federal disaster assistance. There’s absolutely no way to reconcile these two stances, even if you were to violate the laws of physics.

“It just means that Cruz, in addition to being a dystopian extremist, is also that worst sort of political creature: a brazen, two-faced hypocrite who has no compunction about sprouting off blatant contradictions whenever they suit political purposes. And as he tours the nation running for president, it’s on the people to expose this pernicious brand of deceit.

However, Speaking Exclusively for Newslo,

Cruz defended his previous comments by saying that “there is a reason why Texans deserve government help, and Hurricane Sandy victims didn’t.”

“Texas has always been a God-fearing and law-abiding state,” Cruz said. “It’s not a secret that Texas is one of the states where kids get the strictest upbringing and are taught to follow the letter of God. And look at New Orleans, for example – it’s a city of sin, where the Devil has a home. It’s almost a no-brainer, really.”

Cruz added: “Maybe New Orleans should ask the French or Canadian government for help, in their native language. I’m sure they take care of their own.”

Maybe he should be asking his Jesus for money then. It’s almost a no-brainer, really.” “Maybe New Orleans should ask the French or Canadian government for help, in their native language. I’m sure they take care of their own.” But not his god, jesus obviously doesn’t care for texas much or he would kick in a couple bucks.

Cruz should be asking his country of birth for a loan for Texas.

The man is a Texas Senator and dose not know that parts of Texas effected by the storm were once French territory? The Red River specifically.

As one of many veterans who were in Texas at the time Katrina hit and responded to the call for help regardless of who or what language it was asked, his remarks are beyond ignorant.

As one of 350 Veterans member of Team Rubicon that responded to Hurricane Sandy and managed the recovery efforts on Rockaway Beach I can say that he dose not have a clew about what he is talking about. He is an idiot.

As for Canadian response to Katrina. International offers were made and refused by the Bush administration. There were volunteers lined up at the boarder ready to come and help fellow humans in trouble.

Ted Cruz is a coward and a liar.

Hmmm.. Newslo is a satirical site…so, whatcha do is scoll under Ted ‘s pic and you will see 2 reddish rectangular “buttons” one that says “Show Facts” or “Hide Facts”. Then you will see what Ted really said….I am not a fan of Ted’s…so don’t think I’m defending him in any way. Now, just because he didn’t say it all…doesn’t mean he wasn’t thinking it…lol

Until this writer learns the proper use of quotation marks, he’ll never come across as any smarter than Cruz.
