Trump Blames Obama For “Saddam Hussein’s Execution That Resulted In ISIS”

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump offered partial praise for Saddam Hussein, the deposed Iraqi dictator executed in 2006, as an effective terrorist-killer. “Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right? He was a bad guy. A really bad guy.” Trump said on Tuesday in a campaign speech in North Carolina. “But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them the rights, they didn’t talk. They were a terrorists (sic) – it was over. Today, Iraq is Harvard for terrorism.”

Following his speech in Raleigh Tuesday, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate also said that Barack Obama is to blame for the fact that ISIS is running rampant throughout the Middle East and Europe today. “As per usual, when something’s wrong with this country, it’s Obama’s fault because he doesn’t know how to run a country. Let me tell you, that man missed his calling completely when he went into politics,” Trump argued.

The billionaire businessman, who is known for his flammable rhetoric, didn’t disappoint this time either: “And when somebody comes up to me and asks me why I’m glorifying a terrorist such as Saddam Hussein, I have only one answer to give them – Barack Obama is the real terrorist, because ISIS was created and came to power under his presidency. And you know something else? It was Obama’s plan to create ISIS all along.”

Trump then continued, “When Saddam Hussein was first executed, the people of Iraq felt they had received freedom for the first time ever. However, what followed was anything but freedom. Terrorists that Saddam had kept under control during his presidency rose up after he was executed by Obama, because, you know what they say – when the cat’s not home, the mice are the big boys on the block. Ergo, Obama is directly responsible for terrorist attacks against Americans both on domestic soil and overseas.”

“And all this talk you keep hearing about how we need to stop terrorism, but at the same time, our beloved president keeps reducing the number of American soldiers in the Middle East and simultaneously amplifying his efforts to pass stricter gun control laws, is just another proof that that man does not wish America well,” the media mogul argued. “In fact, I’d be surprised if he didn’t try to circumvent the United States Constitution somehow come November in an effort to stay President for another four years. You want to talk about the Apocalypse? Well, that’d be some Apocalypse right there, I’m telling you.”

“If he really wanted to stop ISIS, he would have increased our troops’ presence throughout the regions of the Middle East, not the other way around. But if you really want to talk about what the best way to kill ISIS would have been, that would have to be taking Saddam Hussein out of jail and putting him back in power in Iraq. Of course, that would require him to actually be among the living, which is not the case thanks to – you’ve guessed it – Barack Obama. You know what? That man is so bad for this country I bet our economy is going to have a boost just because of the fact that he won’t be president anymore after November,” Trump concluded.
